CULTURE

Our Core Values: Grandview Cabinetry’s Company Culture

At the heart of Grandview Cabinetry’s company culture lie our core values: family, community, faith, and service to others. We’re happy to say that our employees share these values, producing quality cabinetry with the care and craftsmanship we believe families deserve.

At Grandview, we’re not just committed to the fine work that we do – we’re committed to the people we work with, too. Here’s a look into our company culture – from how we put the “family” in family business to how we connect with our employees and community.

Family First

Our company is family-owned and family-focused. It’s been that way since the beginning – with the company’s start under the Zetmeir family in 1946, to the company’s reinvigoration with the Tidwell family in 2018. Today, Grandview Cabinetry CEO Stanley Tidwell and his three daughters are involved in every level of business and committed to keeping the Grandview team part of their family for generations to come.

Tenure Celebrations

After 60 years in Parsons, Grandview has many devoted, long-term employees. Each year, we recognize those who have worked with us for 5, 10, 15, and 20+ years with a special reception. In addition to the plaques and gifts that they receive, our “20 Year Club” members are also invited to special events hosted by the Tidwell family.

Ministry

Our corporate chaplain program represents one of the many ways that the Tidwell family has committed to supporting our employees and their families.

Giving Back

At Grandview Cabinetry, we’re committed to the Parsons community and we make it our mission to give back in a variety of ways. We support the local community by donating to Viking Football, Inc. a local tackle football program dedicated to Parsons youth in 3rd – 6th grades, helping them build skills in leadership and teamwork and inspiring young athletes to be responsible citizens; co-sponsoring the annual 4th of July fireworks display; working closely with the Parsons Police Department to focus on community well-being and safety initiatives; and participating in a variety of fundraisers throughout the year, including the annual Labette County Community College Auction for Scholarships and the Stella Wells Foundation.

Community Connections & the Personal Touch

Members of the management team are actively involved with local community organizations such as the Rotary Club, Soroptimist, and the Chamber of Commerce. In addition to these community-wide initiatives, we host events for our employees, including our annual Employee Appreciation event where the management team cooks and serves food to the entire staff at both manufacturing facilities. Each year before Christmas, the assembly line is shut down for a day to assemble Christmas baskets instead of cabinets, which are given to every Grandview employee as well as distributed to a variety of community members in need of a hand up during the holiday season.

We are proud to be a part of the Parsons community and will continue to seek out ways to help the community continue to grow and prosper.
