Our Core Values: Grandview Cabinetry’s Company Culture

At the heart of Grandview Cabinetry’s company culture lie our core values: family, community, faith, and service to others. We’re happy to say our more than 250 employees share these values, producing quality cabinetry with the care and craftsmanship we believe families deserve.

At Grandview, we’re not just committed to the fine work that we do – we’re committed to the people we work with, too. Here’s a look into our company culture – from how we put the “family” in family business to how we connect with our employees and community.

Family First

Our company is family-owned and family-focused. It’s been that way since the beginning – with the company’s start under the Zetmeir family in 1946, to the company’s reinvigoration with the Tidwell family in 2018. Today, Grandview Cabinetry CEO Stanley Tidwell and his three daughters are involved in every level of business and committed to keeping the Grandview team part of their family for generations to come.

Tenure Celebrations

As one of the largest employers in Parsons, Kansas, Grandview has many devoted, long-term employees. Each year, we recognize those who have worked with us for 5, 10, 15, and 20+ years with a special reception. In addition to the plaques and gifts that they receive, our “20 Year Club” members are also invited to special events hosted by the Tidwell family.

Ministry

Grandview is home to an in-house ministry service with two chaplains who support our employees and their families. Our chaplains provide spiritual and emotional guidance, grief counseling, hospital visits, and weekly bible studies.

Giving Back

At Grandview Cabinetry, we’re committed to the Parsons community and we make it our mission to give back in a variety of ways. Every year, we hold a blood drive with the American Red Cross to help save lives. We also support the local faith community by sponsoring children so they can attend Vacation Bible School free of charge. Beyond this, we participate in a number of fundraisers throughout the year, including Bowl for Kids’ Sake for our local Big Brothers and Big Sisters, and the Auction for Scholarships for Labette Community College students.

Community Connections & the Personal Touch

As Parsons community members, the Grandview Cabinetry team is committed to creating community connections through various local events. Each year, we participate in the Parsons Recreation Commission’s Company Olympics, proud to represent our company. We also sponsor the annual Fireworks 4 Parsons display every Fourth of July, along with a cookout for our employees, family, and friends.

There’s also our Christmas basket tradition. Each year, on the last day of work before Grandview’s Christmas vacation, we shut down one of our assembly lines and use it to assemble Christmas baskets instead of cabinets. Then, we spread some Christmas cheer by sharing our Christmas baskets with our employees and community members.

Whether we’re celebrating long-term employees, supporting local children and students, or enjoying fireworks with family and friends, our motto, “Integrity Ingrained”, is at the heart of everything we do.
